CONGRATULATIONS JAMES STONE

James Stone, a senior at Maplewood High School, was selected as one of three Mr. Football Offensive Linemen for the state of Tennessee.  Football players were nominated for this award by high school head coaches and members of the media.  Winners were selected by a committee of statewide sports writers based on their academics, character and performance during the 2009 regular football season.  James is the first winner of this award from Maplewood High School.

In addition, James also received the 2009 Hume Award.  This award has been given to a public school student in the metro area since being originated in 1944.  It recognizes James' excellence in academics, sportsmanship and athletic performance throughout his four years at Maplewood High School.  He is the fourth Maplewood High School student to receive this award.

Congratulations James, you are an outstanding Maplewood Panther!!!!
