The Maplewood High School, “Mighty Marching Panther Band” has a long, proud history that dates back to the early 60’s. From a small group of members, the Maplewood Band now boasts a growing membership and is a fixture at Maplewood athletic events and many school and community activities. Membership in the band helps to make a place like Maplewood a little more personal and the friendships that are forged last a lifetime.

The Maplewood band is an extracurricular activity and members receive academic credit if enrolled in a marching band class. Marching band also meets P.E requirements. The marching band practices from 2:30 to 6:00pm on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays starting in the fall semester with football games on Fridays. Several out of town trips, parades, and competitions will be held on weekends.

The spring semester begins our concert and jazz band season. These ensembles help prepare students for college auditions, scholarships as well as improve sight reading skills and overall musicianship.
