Marci Jameece Garner is a native of Nashville, TN and graduate of Maplewood High School. Inspired by her high school economics teacher, she decided to major in Economics and Finance at Tennessee State University. She also received an internship opportunity while at Maplewood through INROADS with Union Planters National Bank (now Regions Bank).
Garner left the corporate world for full time ministry to inner city teens at Cedine Bible Ministries. She also completed a Theology Degree from Carver Bible College in Atlanta, GA. Ms. Garner spent time working with at risk teens for six months in Jos, Nigeria. Upon returning from Nigeria, Ms. Garner felt it was inevitable to combine her expertise in economics and finance with her love for teens. So when a position opened up at her alma mater, she knew it was “meant to be”! She has recently graduated from David Lipscomb University with a Master’s Degree in Administration and Supervision. Her ultimate dreams are to start a small charter school for inner city girls and to take inner city students to Africa!
Ms. Garner strongly believes that all students can soar to great heights when they are exposed, empowered and encouraged to be more efficacious! She thoroughly enjoys teaching her students lessons that they can use for the rest of their lives.
When she is not teaching, Ms. Garner enjoys traveling the country and the world, grilling out, mentoring young women, and spending time with family and friends.
